James J. Sorvillo, known as Jim Sorvillo (born c. 1948), is an advertising agent from Little Rock, Arkansas, who is a Republican member of the Arkansas House of Representatives for District 32 in a portion of Pulaski County. On May 20, 2014, Sorvillo won the Republican nomination for the seat vacated by the term-limited fellow Republican, Allen Kerr, who was subsequently appointed in 2015 by Governor Asa Hutchinson as the Arkansas Insurance Commissioner. Sorvillo polled 1,504 votes to 1,293 for intra—party rival Pat Hays. Sorvillo then defeated a Democrat named John Adams in the November 4 general election, 6,980 to 5,349.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=District 32 )〕 Sorvillo was assigned to these House committees: (1) Insurance and Commerce, (2) Public Transportation, and (3) Joint Commerce on Energy.〔 Sorvillo attended St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Florida.
